We are seeking an individual to join our team as a Seafood Associate. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling and preparing seafood products, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting seafood products and provide recommendations
- Learn to recognize the fish we sell
- Package seafood products for display and sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Be comfortable around live seafood
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience is preferred, but not required! Just be willing to learn and provide great customer service
- Strong knowledge of seafood varieties is a plus, but if you are a quick learner we are happy to teach you
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Attention to detail for weighing and pricing products accurately
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment
