Summary of Position:
The Diesel Fleet Technician will support operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and diesel mechanical systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.

The Diesel Mechanic supports operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining diesel machinery and equipment. They diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Essential Duties:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
- Perform mechanical repairs.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to work overtime and weekends.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic math and literacy skills.
- Resourceful and dependable.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of diesel mechanic experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving history.
- Basic mechanics toolset (up to 1-1/4” Standard and 32mm Metric).
Experience with Diesel Equipment:
- Work Trucks and Trailers
- Semi-trucks and Trailers
- Forklifts ranging from 5k - 36k Capacity (Kalmar, Taylor, Hyundai, Hyster, CAT, Yale)
Competencies:
- Effective time management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
