SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Supports operations in maintaining proper inventory counts and product codes to ensure compliance with established internal control procedures. Directs and consolidates inventory for maximum storage and utilization of space.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain coordination of Cycle counts and verify customer-supplied products.
- Consistently aware of work conditions, time, service, and quality.
- Establishes leadership by setting examples in appearance, attendance, demeanor, responsibility, and dedication to the company.
- Also responsible for handling OS&D reporting and communications with customers of Seaonus. Accurately file reports stating which items in a shipment were over-shipped, under-shipped, and damaged upon receipt.
- Will make necessary inventory adjustments after communicating with the terminal manager and assistant terminal manager.
- Help manage inventory by counting products and comparing the inventory-to-inventory logs and documents.
- Assist with annual customer inventory audits.
- Daily communication with customers about inventory levels.
- Assist in managing the holding of inventory (releases and application of codes).
- Backup to Cycle Counter – Assist terminal manager with inventory by counting products and comparing the inventory-to-inventory logs and documents. Use various methods to develop accurate reports on the stock of items for businesses.
- The compliance part of the job will require as much attention to detail as an inventory clerk while performing regular audits of the shipping and receiving procedures.
- Review orders and receiving documents in the AS400 system and ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
- Researches all inventory discrepancies from AS400 or discrepancies from on-hand quantities.
