Position Description and Qualifications

Job Posting Summary :

Responsible for working with the Ensworth Aquatics Head Coach and Head Age Group Coach to provide support for training groups within the Ensworth Aquatics program.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions :

Abides by Ensworth's Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct
Commits to the ideals expressed in Ensworth's Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement
Adheres to the Essential Expectations of an Ensworth Faculty, Staff, or Administrator
Works under of the direction of Head Coach and / or Head Age Group Coach to :

Oversee development and implementation of season and weekly plans for in-water training

Oversee practice group(s) on a daily basis

Complete swim meet entries and attend swim meets (as assigned)

Adhere to consistent teaching terminology

Communicate consistently and effectively with athletes and parents

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience :

Bachelor's degree a plus

CPR Required, Lifeguard certification required, CDL License preferred

At least (1) year of experience in related application / field

Basic understanding and ability to use computers and technology including (e.g., Microsoft Windows and Office products, basic office equipment, projectors, mechanical equipment, etc.) TeamUnify experience preferred

Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment, including students, co-workers, parents, alumnae, volunteers, and the public.

Adaptability, honesty, self-reliance, teamwork, dependability, flexibility, willingness to listen and learn, work ethic, determination, persistence, problem-solving skills, loyalty, and congeniality are essential.

Must successfully complete background screening and verification

Physical Requirements and Work Environment :

Frequently works in standard office and climate, frequently works on pool deck, infrequently works outdoors in varying weather conditions and climate

Regularly uses close and distance vision, Works at a computer screen for extended periods of time, Ability to observe students from various distances

Frequently required to move around the facility, Works at a desk for extended periods of time, occasionally positions oneself to work with small children on the floor, frequently moves around campus, ascends ladders, etc.

Ability to occasionally move items / students weighing up to 50 lbs.

Sometimes works in a stressful environment, effectively dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts, Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions

Ability to frequently work flexible hours to support before and after-school or weekend events
