What are the responsibilities and job description for the Allergy Technician/Medical Assistant position at ENT & Allergy Specialists?
As a vital part of the Clinical Care Team, the Allergy Technician provides direct patient care, for optimal patient health outcomes by performing a combination of clinical/administrative tasks while delivering outstanding customer service and professionalism to patients and other ENTAS employees in both our Allergy and our ENT clinics.
Allergy Technician/Medical Assistant Benefits

Allergy Technician/Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Performs allergy testing and administers allergy injections
- Prepares allergy extract Rx for patients based off testing results
- Educates patients about diagnoses, prognoses, treatments, and allergy tests.
- Develops individualized treatment plans or patients and communicates plans to provider
- Performs pulmonary function testing on patients
- Leverages EPIC to schedule patient injections and testing
- Works with Allergy Team to manage phone system, patient messages, work ques, etc.
- Ensures and maintains a safe and clinically clean working environment.
- Successful completion of formal Medical Assistant and/or Certified Nursing Assistant Program
- Ability to travel to and work in any of our office locations (Edgewood, Florence, Ft. Thomas, KY & Dearborn IN)
- Comfortable and confident administering subcutaneous injections.
- 1-2 Years working in a medical office with allergy experience preferred.
