Role and Responsibilities

Work with officials and personnel to determine and meet the municipality’s infrastructure needs

Attend and participate in public meetings as municipal engineer representative

Interpret municipal, state, and federal codes to provide clients with professional guidance

Seek project opportunities and facilitate proposal development

Interact with clients and other members of our project teams

Communicate client goals and priorities to design staff

Work collaboratively with other business units, providing technical expertise when needed
-
Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, labor to determine project’s feasibility
-
Verify projects compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
-
Conduct or supervise plan reviews for submitted Subdivisions and Land Developments
-
Recruiting/hiring/mentoring junior engineers.
-
Perform (outdoor) construction inspection work, when needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
-
5 years of experience in municipal infrastructure and planning
-
Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering
-
Professional Engineer (PE) required

Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals
-
Valid driver’s license
-
Ability to obtain PA Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances.
Knowledge, skills and abilities

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals

Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar
-
Experience working in land development and municipal engineering
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs

Experience working with water resources
-
Experience H&H tools and report writing
-
Possesses knowledge of the Municipal approval process and is able to interpret ordinance requirements
