About the role:
EnTech is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Safety Professional. In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the safety of construction projects within New York City. Your primary responsibilities will be to implement and maintain rigorous safety protocols in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This includes conducting regular inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Report daily work activities and safety concerns to the Safety Manager, ensuring alignment with overall safety objectives and protocols
- Conduct thorough safety checks on a regular basis to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Document all safety findings from inspections and audits, and promptly initiate corrective actions to address identified hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Prepare comprehensive Daily Safety Reports summarizing observations, actions taken, and ongoing safety issues for review by management and regulatory bodies
- Record and document any near misses, incidents, injuries, or accidents that occur on-site, including detailed information about the circumstances, injuries and property damage
- Maintain regular communication with designated Competent Persons throughout their work shifts, providing guidance, support, and updates on safety protocols and procedures.
- Organize safety meetings, briefings, and discussions with project teams and stakeholders to address safety-related issues and promote a safety-conscious work environment
- Minimum of five (5) years of safety or safety-related experience
- Experience with NYCDEP is a plus
- An active member of American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP)
- NYCT Track Training Safety Certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety & Health Certification
- NYC DOB 40-Hour Site Safety Manager Course Completion
- NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector License
- C-3/C-5 Deleading of Industrial Structures Certificate
- Copies of all certifications/training, etc. will be required for evaluation

$104,000 - $124,800
