Position Overview : The Chief Retail Growth Officer (CRGO) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new CPG clients across various retail channels. The role focuses on developing strategies for client acquisition, retention, partnerships, and cross-selling, ensuring revenue growth through proactive lead generation and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities :
- Business Development Strategy & Execution : Develop and execute strategies to accelerate client growth. Create selling plans and drive new client acquisition, including attending trade shows and summits.
- Market Research & Trend Identification : Conduct market research to identify trends and competitive opportunities. Adjust growth strategies to stay ahead of retail trends.
- Strategic Partnerships & Alliances : Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including CPG companies, suppliers, distributors, and PE groups. Lead negotiations with prospective clients.
- Sales Pipeline Management : Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing. Regularly report sales metrics and forecasts, ensuring smooth handoffs to delivery teams post-signing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership : Lead and mentor the Business Development team to achieve KPIs. Integrate business development strategies with company growth plans.
