Financial Controller/CPA

Entech Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller/CPA to oversee all financial operations. This is a temp-to-hire position, with the opportunity for a Direct Hire salary around $100,000 annually upon successful completion of the temporary period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, including experience in a school (public or private) or non-profit setting, and hold an active CPA license. This is an in-office position, with remote work availability when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial
  
  

and procedures.

• Prepare and present financial statements to the school board/administration.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage audits and tax filings.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Supervise accounting staff (if applicable).
• Maintain strong internal controls.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role.
• Experience working in a school (public or private) or non-profit organization is essential.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's degree preferred.
