Entech Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller / CPA to oversee all financial operations. This is a temp-to-hire position, with the opportunity for a Direct Hire salary around $100,000 annually upon successful completion of the temporary period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, including experience in a school (public or private) or non-profit setting, and hold an active CPA license. This is an in-office position, with remote work availability when needed.
Responsibilities :
Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial
and procedures.
Prepare and present financial statements to the school board / administration.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Manage audits and tax filings.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Supervise accounting staff (if applicable).
Maintain strong internal controls.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Active CPA license required.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role.
Experience working in a school (public or private) or non-profit organization is essential.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's degree preferred.
