The Supplier Quality Specialist manages outsourced projects and implements processes to ensure the quality of products and materials from suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management and supplier quality assurance in the millwork or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management - Oversee outsourced projects, ensuring products are delivered on time and to quality standards.
Quality Assurance Establish reliable receiving inspection processes, direct the inspection of incoming products and materials, address quality problems by working with suppliers on corrective actions.
Supplier Management Implement methods to monitor supplier performance and conduct audits to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
Documentation Keep accurate records of supplier performance and quality issues, prepare reports for management.
Process improvement Identify ways to improve product quality and efficiency in the supply chain, support the team in improving quality processes.
Expected travel up to 25%.
Skills & Qualifications :
Ability to read and understand blueprints and product drawings.
Proficient with ERP systems, product design software, and Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Good communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
Experience :
Required : 3 years of experience in supplier quality management in the millwork, construction, or manufacturing industries.
Preferred : Experience managing outsourced projects, process implementation, and knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques.
Work Environment :
Large-scale graphics and architectural millwork production facility - mild exposure to sawdust, cleaning materials, and shop machinery noise.
