What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at ENTEK?
ENTEK is seeking applications for an Accounts Payable Clerk role to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon location (relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon, Oregon is required).
This position is responsible for reviewing and posting of various Accounts Payable and Purchase Order transactions in a multi-company environment. This position works closely with raw materials/packaging buyers, purchasing and receiving personnel to obtain proper approvals and gather data to effectively and accurately process the above documents. This also includes filing, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, general ledger account reconciliation, and assigned period-end closing tasks.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Maintain vendor files.
- Monitor and match receiving documents to invoices and purchase orders for payment approval and accrual purposes at month- end.
- Perform data entry of invoices received from vendors.
- Ensure invoices are processed timely to maximize potential vendors discount dollars.
- Deliver customer service to various other departments within the ENTEK companies.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of Accounts Payable and/or credit and collections experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- PC and Microsoft Office skills.
- Understanding general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Knowledge of 1099 filings.
- Strong interpersonal skills,
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screen.
- Satisfactory results from a pre-employment background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
Working Environment
The hours for this role are Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Works in an office setting and is generally sedentary, but may involve movement (e.g., walking, standing, or otherwise being mobile throughout the office and/or campus) for brief periods of time. May be required to occasionally independently move and handle objects up to 25 pounds. Office is comprised of low-wall cubicles separating each employee’s workspace. Noise level is minimal; communication between co-workers, printers.
