What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at ENTEK?
ENTEK is seeking applications for an Accounts Receivable Specialist role to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon location (relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required).
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist you will processes and maintain financial records related to Accounts Receivable (A/R). You will be responsible for posting and reviewing various accounts receivable and cash receipt transactions, as well as for collections related to these transactions. You will also provide general clerical support such as A/R filing, creating and maintaining basic spreadsheets, general ledger account reconciliation, scanning documents, and assigned period-end closing duties.
Responsibilities and duties may include:
- Process invoices and required documents accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Verify customer pricing agreements as part of invoicing process.
- Process payments and other deposits.
- Initiate collections on past-due accounts.
- Assist with inventory counts and related tasks.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory levels.
- Maintain general ledger accounts as assigned.
- Record and initiate payments on commission sales.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Accounting or related field. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for education.
- One year of accounts receivable and/or collections experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Understanding of GAAP and Accounting Theory.
- Strong Excel experience.
- Understanding of general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screen.
- Satisfactory results from a pre-employment background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bookkeeping or high-level clerical work experience.
- Previous experience working with an ERP system.
Working Environment
The hours for this role are Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Works in an office setting and is generally sedentary, but may involve movement (e.g., walking, standing, or otherwise being mobile throughout the office and/or campus) for brief periods of time. May be required to occasionally independently move and handle objects up to 25 pounds. Office is comprised of low-wall cubicles separating each employee’s workspace. Noise level is minimal, communication between co-workers, printers.
