ENTEK is seeking applications for multiple CNC Machining Center Operator roles to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon, location (relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required).
As a CNC Machining Center Operator at ENTEK, you will produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
As an ENTEK CNC Machining Center Operator, you will be expected to verify settings by measuring positions, creating first-run parts, and sample workpieces during production machining. You'll also set up tooling, fixturing, and inspection equipment required for part types in the production group and perform maintenance duties.
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Experience in the operation of drilling, boring and milling, turning, etc. tooling and procedures where tolerances are close, but not difficult to maintain.
- Ability to read and use G- & M-codes at the control.
- Ability to read and understand GD&T tolerancing.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Ability to self-manage behavior.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret supplied documentation and instructions.
- Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills.
- Ability to simplify and recognize trends in complex information and data.
- Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screen and fit-for-duty screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprint specifications or equivalent.
Working Environment
Our machine shop operates 24/7, so the ideal candidates must be willing to work any shift, including nights and weekends.
This role requires working 11.5-hour work shifts, spending the majority of the work shift on their feet.
This role is based in a machine shop environment, which may require the employee to work with or near equipment that uses water / high heat / mechanical means to create metal-based products. The incumbent will spend most of their 11.5-hour shifts on their feet. This role requires the incumbent to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Incumbents will complete tasks that require finger dexterity, reaching, handling of materials and tools/and equipment, talking, and hearing, as well as near and far sight, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The individual in this role may be required to kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, and/or balance. The role may occasionally expose the employee to fumes and airborne particles, as well as temporarily high temperatures and temporarily bright light. This role requires wearing eye and hearing protection while working.
