Job Description Summary
Affordable Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing providers are facing unprecedented distress due to post-COVID effects, including rising costs to build and operate properties, continued supply chain issues, high insurance rates, rent collections, greater need for resident support services, and staffing recruitment and retention challenges, all leading to financial hardships for organizations and their assets, ultimately impacting resident stability. To respond to the needs of our partners and the field overall, we are creating a Partner Sustainability Program (the Program).
Enterprise is seeking a strong leader to build, launch, and implement a multi-year, cross-divisional program aimed at providing technical assistance and capacity building for our partners nationwide, with an immediate focus on providing programmatic support to affordable housing developers facing significant threats to their organization's operation and housing portfolio. The Director will be tasked with tailoring, refining, and standardizing Enterprise's range of technical assistance and capacity building work specific to housing developers in crisis, including :
- Building an intake process;
- Coordinating and managing a strong network of consultants and TA providers who have local expertise in relevant markets;
- Working closely and collaboratively with a range of senior leaders across Enterprise Solutions and Capital teams to continuously assess industry conditions and prioritize and deploy expertise and capital support for housing partners;
- Field building through coordinated convenings and advocacy opportunities in partnership with Enterprise's Federal, State, and Local policy staff.
