 Enterprise Electrical is a fast-growing Commercial Electrical Contractor specializing in Design-Build projects. Enterprise originated and based in Houston, TX, working in Greater Houston and Central Texas. We are looking to add an HR Assistant to our team. HR Assistant Objective: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to join our team at Enterprise Electrical, a leading electrical contractor. The HR Assistant will support day-to-day human resources operations, including recruitment, employee onboarding, record-keeping, compliance, and benefits administration. This role requires excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Communications:

  • Manage company phones. Own the incoming calls and distribute messages and inquiries to designated personnel to provide communication support.
  •   Manage HR Department incoming emails. Provide support by pushing correspondence, questions, and inquiries to designated HR personnel.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding processes.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist with incoming scheduled candidates and walk ins. 
  • Maintain data entry and update applicants and Team Member records in HR databases. 
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding processes.

Team Member Records & Compliance:

  • Maintain data entry and update Team Member records in HR databases. 
  • Manage and maintain HR filing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in processing employment-related documents (I-9, W-4, benefits enrollment).
  • Track and report on employee training, certifications, and licenses.
  • Assist Team Members with benefits enrollment and inquiries.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Assist in organizing employee appreciation events and training sessions.
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries and provide general support to EE Team Members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Other Administrative Duties:

  • Assist with drafting HR-related correspondence, memos, and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

 Skills and Qualification:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of HR or administrative experience, preferably in the construction or electrical contracting industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Knowledge of HR software and payroll systems is a plus.
    • Understanding labor laws and HR best practices.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Office-based role with occasional site visits as needed.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a dynamic environment
  • In office position (40 hours a week)
