Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Support patients with mobility needs, including transferring them safely between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records using systems such as Cerner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Assist in the training of new staff or students as needed.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in healthcare settings such as teaching hospitals or nursing homes.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems like Cerner is advantageous.
- Previous experience in critical care or urgent care environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting and moving patients safely.
