Key Responsibilities of the Pilates Instructor:
- Guides members through initial and progressive training in the areas of flexibility, aerobic conditioning and strength training.
- Teaches proper stretching, strengthening exercises.
- Insures proper, up-to-date and safe procedures are used in personal training..
- Participates in continuing education seminars and workshops.
- Monitors classes in progress, providing constructive
- Enforces all rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Certified Pilates Reformer Instructor Requirements
- Currently certified or enrolled in Pilates Reformer program that includes beginner and intermediate.
- Experience with mat and tower preferred.
- Experience programming for individual clients.
- Experience working with in a classical or contemporary style of Pilates, with reformer equipment and apparatus.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Current CPR / AED certification or willing to obtain.
Other Qualifications:
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Experience and exposure with wide variety of exercise equipment, instructional techniques, injury prevention, fitness/wellness counseling, and developing/interpreting personalized fitness/wellness regimens.
- Must be a Certified Personal Trainer.
