Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using double-entry bookkeeping methods.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation and ensure all accounts are accurately reflected in the general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and manage vendor relationships efficiently.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support business planning.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare financial statements and reports as needed for management review.
- Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Utilize financial software effectively to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles, including double-entry bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Xero or similar financial software is preferred.
- Experience in public accounting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, account analysis, and general ledger accounting is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective interaction with stakeholders.
