Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting skills, with experience in managing accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including entering financial transactions into accounting software such as Xero.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and other financial reports.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with public accounting professionals during audits or tax preparation as needed.
- Monitor financial transactions for discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain organized records of all financial documents to support reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of debits and credits.
- Experience in managing accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation is essential.
- Knowledge of financial concepts and principles related to bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in public accounting is a plus but not required.
