What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician (Design Support) position at ENTRUST Solutions Group?

As a Field Technician, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring cohesion among our client and our designing support of their utility operations. If you’re a proactive, detail-oriented individual who enjoys learning and utilizing technology, solving problems and collaborating with various stakeholders, this could be great kickoff to your career.
In this role, here's what you'll do:
- Conduct Surveys and Inspections: You'll be performing GPS surveys and locating overhead and underground lines. Your keen eye will help with inspections, testing, and documenting power and gas distribution systems, ROW, compressors, and other related facilities.
- Utilize Cutting-Edge Technology: Use the IKE Office Pro and IKE handheld device to capture clearances between communication lines. Your tech-savvy skills will be put to good use!
- Project Management: Juggle multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time and to the highest standards. Your efforts will lead to high levels of customer satisfaction and help us achieve our company and departmental goals.
- GIS Review: Review Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to identify updates or conflicts. Your attention to detail will be crucial here.
- Coordinate Construction Projects: Work across multiple departments to ensure timely construction. You'll be the go-to person for meeting customer, crew member, or client needs within negotiated timeframes.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. Technical certificate in drafting or other technical skill preferred.
- Reliable transportation.
- Detail and quality oriented. Must be comfortable reading and interpreting technical documentation including blueprints, construction specifications and other items.
- Strong communication and customer skills.
- Any type of fielding, locating or landscaping experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to understand instructions and independently carry out instructed tasks.
- Ability to grow into responsibility for managing long term client program work.

Benefits & Salary:
This position pays between $20 and $22 hourly and is a non-exempt position.
Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
