What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permit Coordinator position at ENTRUST Solutions Group?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares permitting applications based on local city, county and/or state ordinances on an ongoing basis.
- Obtains engineering plans, legal descriptions, tax numbers and fees as needed.
- Follows-up and works with the permitting agency to secure permits in a timely manner; keeps the customer informed regarding the progress of applications on an ongoing basis.
- Processes permit when received, noting any changes as needed.
- Maintains accurate records documentation and company files pertaining to permit applications on an ongoing basis.
- Knowledge of local, state and national building codes and regulations, to include zoning codes, structural codes, fire codes, and other relevant ordinances
- Knowledge with the entire permitting process, from application submission to approval and inspection scheduling
- Knowledge in maintaining accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and inspection scheduling
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and terminology to assess permit applications and ensure compliance
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 2 Years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
