Brief Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Key Account Manager role entails arranging and coordinating logistics regarding sales and sale forecasting, receipt of client purchase orders, product production and delivery. The Key Account Manager role will also be responsible for the proper maintenance of inventory levels, and technical troubleshooting. They will serve as a liaison between the customer, and various other departments in the plant facility, while maintaining the best interests of the company and ensuring the customer’s expectations are being met.

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which could include 25% of time spent traveling, long days, occasional evening & weekends; regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position; position may require travel to meetings, conferences, workshops or other facilities.

Essential Job Functions
- Validate and confirm receipt of Purchase Orders, by product, price and quantity
- Work with clients to troubleshoot and resolve any product concerns
- Collect and verify that orders are correctly captured by product, price, and quantity according to the committed date
- Coordinate with the production planning team of each plant, ensuring the timely production of the requirements committed to each client
- Follow up on the production plan of each plant, by viewing the production level reports, in order to detect any delays and inform the client to avoid a shortage.
- Coordinate with logistics the timely loading of the product with the corresponding documentation according to the requirement of the client and customs.
- Preparation and monitoring of the sales plan per week and informing customers order statuses
- Inventory management with necessary updates through the use of the SAP system, seeking the proper rotation, inventory levels and avoiding obsolete goods
- Ensure all designs are current and valid in coordination with the design team, in addition to monitoring the development of new products and ensuring registration in SAP
- Attention and monitoring of claims for quality issues, channeling them to the corresponding areas
- Monitoring of the return of dunnage material, pushing with clients the return and coordination in a timely manner
- Analyze and Update Sales Forecasts monthly
- Lead weekly customer meetings
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred - 4 year Business Management or Engineering Degree
- Required - 2 years Sales and/or Manufacturing experience; aluminum beverage can industry experience preferred
- Required - 2 years of Customer Service Experience
- Required - Experience working with SAP
- Preferred - 2 years of Logistics Experience
- Ability to negotiate and resolve high pressure situations with clients at Plant Management level and above
- Internal negotiation capacity with Production, Finance, Logistics, Design, Warehouse and Logistics
- Capacity to analyze and solve complex problems with effective solutions
- 100% customer orientation
- Preparation of reports and presentations evaluating scenarios for management and directors’ decision-making purposes
- General knowledge of basic hardware and software and uses of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace, and web-site software
- General knowledge of SAP, preferred; or other inventory shipping/receiving tracking systems knowledge
