- Work closely with local safety and environmental authorities as a primary contact to ensure compliance and foster positive relationships.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in disciplines such as Engineering, Operations, Management, or a related field, or alternatively, commensurate experience in leading roles within manufacturing environments.
- Illustrated history of successful safety leadership and program development within production environments, with relevant industry-recognized certifications considered advantageous.
- Strong command over communication and negotiation, with a proven track record in developing and managing comprehensive safety initiatives.

Standard warehouse/manufacturing setting, engineering labs, office, and production areas. Physically required to regularly walk, sit, bend, twist, stand and reach. May lift, carry, pull / push, and reach for supplies and on occasion lifting (up to 50 lbs.) while performing various aspects of the job. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; continuous use of vision, hearing and speech. Occasionally works indoors in a well-lighted air-conditioned office. Daily contact with the public, other departmental personnel and vendors/clients. Frequently works with surplus and scrap materials, and is required to work outside and/or in an unaired conditioned warehouse.
Position requires the capability of managing stress effectively; work is fast-paced and can be demanding. Work requires organizing; prioritizing; accuracy and attention to detail. Flexibility in order to assist with/coordinate a variety of projects and activities and to adapt standard methods and procedures to differing conditions; works in a high-volume environment.
