The Industrial Environmental Safety Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the safety landscape within our manufacturing setting. A Day at the Helm
- Strategically cultivate a "Safety-First" ethos through direct engagement with all involved parties.
- Oversee the architecture, deployment, and measurement of essential environmental health and safety (EHS) programs—think rigorous safety training, meticulous site inspections, and robust policy enactment.
- Stay informed on legislative shifts, and offer consultation to the organization regarding regulatory adherence, accidents, and proactive risk management strategies.
Core Competencies
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related disciplines—or equivalent relevant experience.
- Valuable history in crafting safety protocols, enriched by hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing settings.
- OSHA certifications and CSP/GSP/ASP designations highly favorable.
- Exceptional communication and strategic leadership capabilities, committed to fostering a secure, efficient environment.

Standard warehouse/manufacturing setting, engineering labs, office, and production areas. Physically required to regularly walk, sit, bend, twist, stand and reach. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; continuous use of vision, hearing and speech. Occasionally works indoors in a well-lighted air-conditioned office. Daily contact with the public, other departmental personnel and vendors/clients. Frequently works with surplus and scrap materials, and is required to work outside and/or in an unaired conditioned warehouse.
