- This position requires the ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures and safety procedures and project/maintenance requirements.

- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control is responsible to provide shop support as directed by the Shop & Fleet Supervisor (or Operations Manager).
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must be able to interact effectively with all levels of company management and the ability to speak effectively before vendors and coworkers.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must be able to use a multi-meter.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must be able to keep the work area clean while using equipment and tools efficiently.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must be proficient in the use and care of personal protective equipment (PPE}.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must be able to pass all site specific facility, company, and industry tests.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must maintain inventory of all monitoring equipment and calibration gases.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control ls responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all monitoring equipment.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control is responsible for keeping instruments in calibration per our customer and air district requirements.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must report all damage and missing equipment immediately to the Shop Supervisor and Operations Manager.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control will be responsible for inspecting all equipment prior to leaving the yard, verifying that all inspection paperwork has been completed and spot-checking Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure that job equipment is loaded onto transportation vessels prior to leaving the yard.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must have a current valid driver license from state of residency and valid proof of insurance.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must be insurable by the Envent Corporation insurance provider.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must be able to pass the company's employee physical and comply with the company's drug testing policy.
- The Instrument Technician/Quality Control understands that he or she is working in a twenty four hour seven days a week (24/7) industry and as such understands that they must be available on a 24/7 basis when required.
- Travel: this position requires some travel (~10-15%) to conduct equipment service calls, periodic supplier visits, and for training.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent industry experience and training for the area of expertise. Industry experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to speak, read, and write English is required for this position.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic mathematical skills, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers are required for this position. The ability to add and subtract fractions is required.
REASONING ABILITY
- This position requires the Instrument Technician/Quality Control to be self-motivated, organized, responsible, assertive, a problem solver and use a high degree of common sense.
- The ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, malfunctions, and performance issues is required.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Experience with three phase power systems is desired.
- Experience with 480V power systems is desired.
- Experience with stand alone generators is desired.

The Instrument Technician/Quality Control must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
