What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at ENVIRO SYSTEMS INC?
Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspection of parts and product through the entire manufacturing process. Must possess strong attention to detail and accurately interpret drawings and specifications. Assists in data collection and reporting services at the direction of the Quality Manager. This job reports to the Quality Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; others may be assigned:
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection activities using inspection tools/gages (calipers, micrometers, ring/plug, height, etc.).and CMM’s
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI/FAIR)
- Initiate and facilitate nonconformance tags through MRB
- Perform MRB activities such as disposition, scrap, and evaluations
- Coordinate issues between organizations in a professional manner
- Ensure products meet required specifications, engineering drawings, or other technical data
- Understands and ensures regulatory compliance (OSHA, ESHM, & AS9100D)
- Ability to obtain source inspection and other customer/AS9100 designations
- Navigate and sign-off work order operations in the digital manufacturing execution system

Education and/or Experience: 1-2 years’ experience within the quality environment. Preferred skills (not required): experience within the aerospace industry.

Ability to go up and down steps to go to meeting on second floor. Ability to grasp and carry manuals, folders, and other office equipment (staplers). Ability to hear electronic wrist strap or other critical sounds to appropriately inspect. Ability to work with employees throughout plant and parking lot.
