What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator Utility Construction position at Environmental Construction, Inc.?
Environmental Construction, Inc., a locally owned family business in the utility industry. We specialize in water main/service line installation/repair and telecommunication lines.
We are currently looking for equipment operators, and, CDL drivers. Territories available include: Muncie, Kokomo, and Richmond.
Requirements
Must have valid driver's license
Must have heavy equipment experience
Must be a team leader
Have an excellent attendance record and reliable transportation
Will be required to pass a drug test
Must be able to lift over 50 lbs
Have no problem climbing in and out of equipment cab
Handle loud noises
Follow necessary hand signals
Be able to work in incremental weather conditions
Be willing to work over time as needed
Responsibilities
Be committed to work safely, wear all of the required safety equipment, and report any unsafe conditions.
Complete routine inspections of equipment, before and after use.
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of equipment while also working with mechanic on any necessary repairs.
Be able to work with others and lead when necessary.
Accurately complete paperwork as required.
Speak with customers as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
