What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Crew Foreman - Underground Utility Work position at Environmental Construction, Inc.?
Environmental Construction, Inc. is locally owned family business in the utility industry. We specialize in installation/repair of water and telecommunication lines.
We are currently seeking a foreman experienced in underground water utilities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a crew of utility workers, operators, and laborers to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
- Direct the jobs/project in the most effective and efficient manner while maintaining safety and meeting customer expectations.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, allocate resources, and ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Employ and enforce company safety standards, conduct safety meetings as required, and ensure the use of PPE at all times.
- Ensure all materials , specifications, and placements are followed to industry standards.
- Order materials, tools, ppe, and equipment as needed.
- Ensure all proper equipment and tools are on site, available and operated in proper use and in a safe manner, including all maintenance of equipment.
- Resolve on-site issues, including conflicts with plans, schedules, employees, customers, etc..
- Mentor and build a team with proper communication, a growth mindset, and a positive attitude.
- Meet with owners to discuss job status, areas of concerns, room for improvement and share ideas to improve procedures and processes.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience.
Must have valid driver's license
Must have heavy equipment experience
Must be a team leader
Have an excellent attendance record and reliable transportation
Will be required to pass a drug test
Must be able to lift over 50 lbs
Have no problem climbing in and out of equipment cab
Be able to work in incremental weather conditions
Be willing to work over time as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
