Job description
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you’ll play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of stormwater and/or wastewater treatment systems. You’ll work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and our internal team to deliver cost-effective and compliant engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design wastewater treatment plans, and other on-site systems
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and drawings
- Review of local codes and regulations
- Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and feasibility studies
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support permitting and construction phases, including inspections and submittal reviews
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and sustainability practices in wastewater management
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and design purposes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to civil engineering projects.
- Ability to effectively manage project scheduling and timelines.
- Familiarity with land surveying techniques and equipment.
- Excellent technical writing skills for documentation and reporting.
- Knowledge of construction estimating practices is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills.
