Laboratory Assistant

EOSi is seeking a part time Laboratory Assistant to support the QA/QC program under the direction of the quality team. Position is for part time nonexempt employment during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm at the EOSi office in Pocasset, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and sort samples and supplies
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Replenish test bench supplies
• Prepare samples for testing
• Perform basic testing
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Prepare outbound sample shipments for prospective partners and customers
• Serve as the sample custodian
• Maintain chemical inventory and safety data sheets
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standard

Qualifications:

• A.S. in a physical science or equivalent
• At least two years of laboratory experience preferred
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Strong Microsoft Excel skills necessary
• Strong communication skills: both written and verbal
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Works well in a group and an individual setting; comfortable working in a busy lab environment
• Good Laboratory Practices consistent with the EOSi Quality Standards and Standard Operating Procedures required.
