Environmental Works, Inc. (EWI) is looking for an Emergency Response Operations Manager to oversee the management and execution of emergency response operations for our Tulsa based location. This role requires someone with sound practical judgment, strong mechanical abilities, and a knack for creative problem-solving. The ER Ops Manager will be responsible for supervising a wide range of services such as emergency spill response and recovery, railroad incidents and derailments, product transfer, fixed facility releases, chemical spills, truck incidents, natural disaster recovery, pipeline and storage tank leaks, and more. The position requires on-call availability 24/7 and frequent travel to various sites.

Emergency Response Operations Manager | Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage emergency response operations- ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction in all phases of work.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities for emergency response services, delivering exceptional service, and building relationships that will grow the company’s Tulsa-based client base.
- Build and grow a highly skilled Emergency Response team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to solve problems and develop high-quality, creative solutions for our clients.
- Perform general labor tasks including but not limited to manual digging, site preparation, site-clean up, equipment operation, material handling, loading equipment, and handling waste for remediation, including sampling, packaging, and labeling.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including service receipts, job logs, time records, and maintenance reports.
- Prepare and oversee project deliverables such as proposals, work plans, project reports, bidding specifications, and other correspondence.
- Review invoices and timesheets, prepare final invoices, and appropriately manage profitability of projects.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with HAZWOPER, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and supports company goals.
- Travel up to 50% for on-site management and coordination of emergency response efforts.
Emergency Response Operations Manager | Competencies:
- Able to safely perform manual labor and operate equipment.
- Able to wear full and half face respirator.
- Able to meet DOT physical requirements.
- Knowledge of HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) regulations and requirements.
- Comfortable with technology and proficient with software such as Microsoft Office.
Emergency Response Operations Manager | Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position and requires on-call availability 24/7 and frequent travel to various sites. The ability to work flexible hours with weekend and holiday work is required.
Emergency Response Operations Manager | Required Education and Experience:
- 1 years supervisory experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Emergency Response Operations Manager | Preferred Education and Experience:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certified preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Suite – Outlook & Teams preferred.
Emergency Response Operations Manager | Compensation:
- $75,000-$95,000 annually.
