Environmental Works, Inc. (EWI) is looking for an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to oversee a $45M fleet of industrial equipment and vehicles. The Senior Accountant will play a key role optimizing asset lifecycle management, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving cost-effective decision-making, all while fostering a culture of expense control that minimizes risk and supports efficient operations without compromising productivity. This position will include opportunities to collaborate with the CEO and other company leaders, and may report directly to the CEO depending on business needs.

Compensation: $75,000 - $125,000 annually.

Essential Functions
- Manage $45M fixed assets including fleet of industrial cleaning equipment and vehicles
- Develop and maintain fixed asset policies, procedures, and controls
- Oversee asset lifecycle from acquisition through disposal
- Analyze equipment maintenance costs and determine proper capitalization
- Implement usage-based depreciation methods for specialized equipment
- Track total cost of ownership across fleet
- Coordinate with maintenance team on repair cost tracking
- Provide analytics for equipment replacement and acquisition decisions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Track and analyze revenue generation by equipment type and unit
- Monitor equipment utilization rates and provide monthly reporting
- Develop KPIs for equipment performance and revenue optimization
- Create quarterly analysis of revenue per asset hour/day
- Identify underperforming assets and recommend corrective actions
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years fixed asset accounting experience
- Strong understanding of asset management and depreciation methods
- Experience with fleet or industrial equipment accounting
- Proficiency in fixed asset software and ERP systems
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and GAAP requirements
- Experience in industrial services or equipment-heavy industries
- Background with maintenance cost analysis
- Understanding of equipment lifecycle management
- CPA certification
- Advanced Excel and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail
- Process improvement mindset
- Excellent communication abilities
- Project management capabilities
