Job Summary : We are currently sourcing an accounting role which will be responsible for essential tasks within the accounting department both internal business and client related. This position will involve taking on a list of property management clients for bookkeeping and accounting administrative assistance reporting directly to the accounting manager. This position will require the tracking and management of a large volume of financial data. The individual must be detail oriented, organized, and possess a strong work ethic. Ultimately, the responsibilities are to accurately record financial transactions of the company in preparation for account reconciliations and financial reporting to the management team. This includes both working interdepartmentally with other office team members, our vendors and at times our valued clients. This is a full-time in-office position with a fast-paced, growing company with an open concept to facilitate communication and relationships. We are seeking a self-starter who isn't afraid of a challenge and who would like to develop and grow into an accounting career.

Tasks & Responsibilities :

  • Preparation and completion of monthly bank account reconciliations for several client bank accounts in a timely manner meeting company deadlines.
  • Preparation of invoices and collection of weekly revenue streams from various client bank accounts.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections through the review of open A / R with the Accounting Manager.
  • Assist with accounts payable through online payments and check preparation for client accounts.
  • Assist with accounting related projects as assigned by management and the executive team as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate spreadsheets for any assigned tasks.
  • Retrieval and sorting of all mail received at our office and PO Box.
  • Scanning and uploading of all vendor bills and credit card receipts into our system following specific guidelines.
  • Assist with vendor and subcontractor relations and document collection.
  • Communicate with utility companies, tax municipalities, and other agencies regarding bills and services.

Requirements :

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred, not required
  • 2 years of basic bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus, but not required
  • Detail-orientated and organized
