Senior Product Designer

Envoy
San Francisco, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 1/25/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 3/24/2025

About the Role

Product designers at Envoy lead the creation of new products and the entire user experience of Envoy’s products. Fundamentally we believe that workplaces are better when they work for people who use them. Product designers at Envoy push the boundaries and seek to be recognized for great design.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team and lead the design efforts for our workplace technology solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting intuitive, elegant, and impactful experiences that enhance how employees interact with their workspaces. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science to translate user needs and business goals into thoughtful design solutions.

This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.

You Will

  • Lead Design Projects: Own the end-to-end design process, from user research and concept development to prototyping, visual design, and final execution. Ensure that all designs meet both user needs and business objectives.
  • User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to deeply understand user behavior and needs. Use these insights to inform and iterate on design solutions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Act as a design advocate within cross-functional teams.
  • Design System: Contribute to and maintain Envoy’s design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products and touchpoints.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Apply this knowledge to innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible in workplace technology.

You Have

  • 5 years of experience in SaaS B2B product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in UX/UI design, particularly in complex, data-driven environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions that solve complex user-problems and enhance user engagement.
  • Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools. Strong understanding of front-end development principles.
  • Ability to tackle complex design challenges and distill them into simple, intuitive user experiences.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
  • Experience with design systems and a strong understanding of UX/UI best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for creating user-friendly and visually appealing designs that drive business impact.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

You Are

  • A systems thinker who thinks critically and creatively about problems, and is able to distill complex concepts into easy-to-use flows.
  • Someone with extremely high standards. You’re practical and know perfect is the enemy of the good, but you aspire for us to be great. You care deeply about the quality of our work and our team.
  • An Owner. You act with and teach appropriate urgency when the situation calls for it. You feel personally accountable and responsible. You proactively look for problems and inefficiencies and find elegant solutions before they become major issues.
  • Fast-paced. You love the speed and impact you have on startups.
  • Empathetic, a great listener, and observer. You know there might be differences between what customers say and do and are able to use both what you hear and what you see to deduce the actual pain they're experiencing. You actively build relationships with your teammates to better understand their work and partner with them.
  • Insanely curious. Before you even consider a solution, you want to understand and clearly articulate the problem. And when devising solutions, you seek and value input from as many sources as possible and work as a servant leader in your team to create products that delight. You are passionate about defining goals and metrics and other ways to know it's working and solving customers' problems once deployed.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with front-end development and the ability to understand technical constraints.
