What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Production Accounting Analyst position at EOG Resources?
The Lead Production Accounting Analyst is responsible for working with division production accounting teams to ensure accurate daily and monthly oil, gas, and water volumes that are used for oil & gas well operational decisions, royalty settlement and state and federal regulatory reporting. Activities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Support division PA teams on all projects.
- Query, extract and analyze production information for and with the division teams.
- Work with divisions on process improvement.
- Create daily / monthly validation tools to monitor daily / monthly volumes.
- Collaboration with division teams and field personnel to ensure accurate reporting of production data.
- Understanding of natural gas liquid, gas processing plant shrink and yield factors and general gas and crude marketing activities.
- Research, analysis, and compilations of volume data as requested by various departments.
- Preparation and submission state and federal regulatory filings.
- Testing and deployment for system upgrades, process improvements etc.
- Ensure all related processes are compliant in accordance with SOX controls and guidelines.
- Maintain audit compliance with regulatory, AGA, & API standards.
- Assist with the integration of property acquisitions and divestitures as it relates to production data.
