What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Accounting Specialist position at EOG Resources?
JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related business field (for example, finance) including core accounting class hours relevant to the position, is required. Minimum 5 years of experience in natural gas plant accounting and allocations and / or oil and gas revenue accounting experience required. Strong background in natural gas plant accounting and allocations is required. Proficiency with MS Excel, SQL, and Waterfield / TIPS, or similar software application, is required. Must have working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles. Position requires sound analytical ability and strong ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely. Must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work effectively with others. Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision. Must be a quick learner, self-starter, and independent worker. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
