The Project Manager II is responsible for leading and facilitating multi-functional project teams in the delivery of energy systems to customers, with a focus on enhancing customer experience and ensuring full accountability for project performance, schedules, and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management of each project from contract through installation and close-out
- Ensure projects are completed safely, within schedule, and budget
- Manage and communicate project changes internally and externally to ensure business alignment and client satisfaction
Project Management Expertise:
Develop, negotiate, and manage engineering and construction contracts, including defining scope, schedule, and cost management requirements
Coordinate activities of all functions involved in the project, including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance, Logistics, Legal, Field services, and Quality
Manage project schedules, resolve problems, and deliver on customer expectations and contract requirements
Collaboration and Communication:
Organize project meetings to effectively communicate relevant information and coordinate resources, including subcontractors
Negotiate and approve selection of major contractors in collaboration with upper management
Financial Planning and Reporting:
Work directly with finance on the preparation of financial plans
Provide project reports to management per report out schedule
Leadership and Problem-Solving:
Able to motivate others, inspire high performance, loyalty, and customer satisfaction
Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement strategies and manage change
Able to manage stressful situations to a positive outcome and anticipate potential barriers to project success
Certifications and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field required
Minimum 8 years project management experience
PMP desired; PE, Lean, Six Sigma, a plus
Travel Requirements:
Overnight/North America: 10-25%
Other International Travel: 10-25%
Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office
