The IT Systems Administrator will have a crucial role on designing, implementing, and maintaining Eos Energy's IT server hybrid infrastructure and SaaS solutions through multiple locations.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the design and implementation of complex systems, maintenance and monitoring of systems, collaboration with other business groups, manage data security measures, and keeping systems up to date through innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a hybrid IT server environment, including on-premises and cloud infrastructure which also includes OT industrial type systems PLC / SCADA.
- Manage and optimize virtualized environments using VMware or other Hypervisors across multiple host locations.
- Manage technical cloud services and infrastructure on AWS and expanding environment presence through Azure
- Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam. Backups includes several production servers, key program applications like Salesforce, NetSuite, O365 environment, and email.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain uptime including access control of file servers, QNAP storage, and SAN storage solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and availability through effective backup and recovery strategies. Create / review proper documentations of procedures and perform periodic testing to ensure the process is effective and company is well prepared.
- Manage access control permissions and ensure security compliance which includes security measures in an IT and OT environment for systems access.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications, working with other groups within the organization capturing proper detail in support of department projects and / or to assist with issues.
- Technical writer in the development and review of documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior systems administrator and helpdesk staff.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems are cutting-edge.
- Travel to different site as required.
- Must be available for on-call and provide technical support for systems related issues.
- Administer end user facing applications including Intune, RMM utilities, etc.
- Manage Disaster Recovery / DRaaS solution and perform annual testing and run book documentation
- Required to travel to other remote sites as needed
- Required for after hours and weekend work
- Participate in training and development of other team members
- Lifting heavy equipment as needed and at times assisted
