What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at EP!C?
Position Objective: Responsible for monitoring, processing, and managing cash transactions and other deposit activity. This role is also responsible for balancing and reconciling several cash and receivable accounts on a monthly basis. Provides administrative and clerical support to ensure that ledgers are current and accurate so that management can make effective business decisions. Will follow Rule 50, Dept. of Human Services Rule 115, Rule 116, Rule 119, Rule 120, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

3. To conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.
Program/Department Development and Coordination; Fiscal Management
1. Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
2. Reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
3. Records monthly banking activity for residents and reconciles month end statements.
4. Works to resolve discrepancies with customers and residents to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
5. Collaborates with the Financial Analyst, Senior Accountant, and Controller to reconcile accounts receivable and revenue accounts monthly.
Marginal Responsibilities
1. Perform other duties as assigned.
2. As a mandated reporter ensures all allegations, abuse, and neglect are reported as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
2. At least two years of related experience required.

1. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and familiar with accounting software programs.
2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
3. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to work independently or with a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong ethical conduct.
Physical Requirements
1. Frequent walking and sitting.
2. Regular reaching, grasping, and standing.
3. Other physical activities related to an office environment.
4. Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer.
5. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment
1. Work may occur in the following settings: Home, Office, Classroom, Site, Group Homes, or Community.
