EPC Services Company, a leading power/utility engineering consultant and construction firm, has an immediate opening for a full-time Manager of Permit Compliance.
EPC Services is seeking a fulltime position for a Manager of Permit Compliance. The role is to organize, manage, and execute the EPCS Services permit compliance program in support of multiple electrical substation and transmission line construction projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing and training others in compliance inspection for stormwater, dust and other inspections as required by local, state and federal jurisdictions to ensure compliance; work with local jurisdictions to keep grading, building and other construction permits moving through process; maintain effective communication with EPCS Construction and Project Managers to schedule inspections. This position will work closely and in conjunction with ECI's Environmental and Permitting Department. Skills preferred are the ability to manage demanding deadlines, maintain effective communication with jurisdictions and ECI Project teams and the ability to balance several projects at one time. Understanding of local permitting and performance of stormwater will be acquired through job training. Knowledge of site construction is preferred. Extensive travel is required for this position.
Minimum Requirements:
Construction site experience and OSHA training are a plus. The ability to track multiple activities. Skills in MS Office (Word, Excel,), Adobe (Bluebeam) are required. Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent level of interpersonal skills, ability to work individually and on a team, ability to work with confidential information and attention to detail. The successful applicant must have strong word processing skills and be adept at learning computer software. The successful applicant must be able to be present in the office during normal (core) business hours, typically 8-5 on designated workdays. Monday through Friday and must be willing to travel to jobsites located across the United States. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.
