EPIC Early Learning is currently seeking a reliable Classroom Assistant Floater to join our team. EPIC is a private, nonprofit organization that has been working hand-in-hand with children and families to provide early childhood educational services that strengthen our Central Washington communities for over 45 years. As a Classroom Assistant Floater, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple classrooms within our organization. Your role will be to provide support to teachers in delivering high-quality early childhood education to children. This may include assisting with classroom setup, participating in educational activities, supervising children during playtime, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
Responsibilities- Support teachers in delivering educational activities and daily routines
- Assist in setting up and organizing classrooms
- Monitor and engage with children during playtime and activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
- Follow program policies and procedures
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Be committed to characterizing a culture of safety within our centers, playgrounds, buses, and anywhere children may be present. Be familiar with and encourage EPIC's culture of "See Something, Say Something"
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Washington State Driver's License & Auto insurance
- Washington State ECE Initial Certificate or Preschool Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA). * Candidates who do not meet the minimum education requirements must meet this requirement within a five (5) years of hire date and will be placed on a Professional Development Plan
- Experience working with young children in a group setting preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for early childhood education and child development
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and age groups
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Pay Level:
$17.95 to $21.18 Hourly
