Job Summary:

The Recovery Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides structure, support, and encouragement to individuals recovering from substance use disorders in a residential setting. This position is focused on monitoring individuals to ensure they are participating in daily routines and fulfilling program expectations. Note: This role does not involve completing personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, or individual hygiene. Staff are there to observe, redirect, and support individuals to complete activities of daily living, not perform hands-on care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise individuals in the home to ensure engagement in scheduled activities, activities of daily living, and adherence to house rules.
- Provide support, encouragement, and redirection as needed to promote accountability.
- Ensure that medications are administered and documented properly.
- Promote positive behavior and support recovery goals.
- Promote and maintain a safe, structured, and supportive setting.
- Encourage and support participation in recreation and community-based activities.
- Report any behavioral or health changes to supervisors or clinical staff.
- Complete shift documentation and communication logs.
- Maintain cleanliness of shared program areas as needed.
- Conduct regular health and safety checks to ensure the well-being of residents.
- Assist individuals in planning and preparing balanced meals, taking dietary restrictions into account.
- Staff members must be available to work holidays if they coincide with their scheduled shifts. This ensures continuous care and support for individuals in the residential program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) / BLS not accepted.
- Medication Administration certification through Epic Health Partners (or willingness to obtain within 7 days of hire)
- Experience working in substance use recovery, mental health, or related fields preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Current TB screening clearance
- Ability to follow instructions, remain consistent, and encourage individual independence
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Staff members must be available to work holidays if they coincide with their scheduled shifts. This ensures continuous care and support for individuals in the residential program.

Current Shifts:
Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM and 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Weekend Day Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Weekend Evening Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Weekend Overnight Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Potential PRN Shifts available: Sunday & Saturday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM & 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Staff members must be available to work holidays if they coincide with their scheduled shifts.
