JOB OVERVIEW :
The Broker will be responsible for providing high-quality, white-glove service for our clients' environmental policy needs, and partner with the lead broker and client executive to ensure the book of business is properly and promptly serviced. This role will market and place policies, both new business and renewals. This is not a sales / producer role, but this is a client-facing role.
LOCATION : Atlanta, GA (Sandy Springs : 5909 Peachtree Dunwoody Road) - Hybrid required, at least 3 days a week in-office
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR :
- Candidates with current commercial insurance industry experience is strongly preferred (but not required).
- Candidates with strong, professional communication skills – both written and verbal. Ideal candidates can successfully pivot between providing detailed and accurate written communication, as well as picking up the phone and having a detailed verbal conversation with clients or internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to learn and understand software systems quickly.

WHAT YOU’LL DO :
The broker will handle day-to-day client issues and questions. A detailed list of job duties include (but are not limited to) :
Handle storage tank policy placements and other assigned environmental placementsCreate and maintain an active renewal list & other business documentCollect and organize information & assist with preparation of insurance submissionsCheck quotes, binders, policies, and endorsements for accuracy, and transmit to clientsAddress client requests timely, following-up with underwriter(s) on policy service requests as-neededCoordinate with appropriate team members for timely certificates of insurance, invoicing, surplus lines filing and documentation, and other placement-related administrationTake on and / or assist with other projects upon requestWHAT YOU’LL BRING :
Skills & Qualifications :
Ability to work in a professional / office environment at least 3 days a weekProficiency with Microsoft office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams and Power Point), as well as an ability to learn / use internet & intranet-based toolsAttention to detail with an ability to accurately proofread written materials and accurately calculate premiums / taxesInterpersonal & relationship-building skills to create and foster relationships with clients, the underwriting community, EPIC’s internal producers, executive brokers, and other colleaguesEffective communication and time management skills, with an ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines (e.g., figure out what is needed and take the necessary action to address / resolve issues)Credentials and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and / or equivalent professional work experience is preferred but not requiredREQUIRED : Obtaining / maintaining an insurance license and surplus lines broker’s License is a condition of employment. If candidates do not already have a license, they'll be required to obtain one shortly after starting employment with the company.Experience with risk management, insurance, environmental and / or pollution legal liability coverage concepts is a plus, but not requiredCOMPENSATION :
The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
