Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to work with the Epilepsy Association of Western & Central PA and its program team to address the needs of children and families impacted by epilepsy. This Program Coordinator provides information, support, and referral services, facilitates public awareness through education and outreach activities, coordinates family-focused community events, and coordinates a variety of Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA outreach, social and recreational programs, including a summer camp program. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in program and relationship management. This role requires a compassionate individual with a desire to make a positive impact in the community.
Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Respond to general calls for information and requests for referral services from parents and families calling regarding the growth, diagnosis and treatment of their son or daughter recently diagnosis with epilepsy.
- Coordinate the EAWCP annual Camp Frog program and family-focused direct service programs, including the Emma’s Gift, the EAWCP high school scholarship program, CareShare (respite care), and Youth Transition programs.
- Plan, develop, and participate in community outreach programs, local committees, task forces, etc., to represent the EAWCP and epilepsy issues in the community.
- Assist with school-based education presentations when necessary.
- Assist in the organization and facilitation of EAWCP social and educational events.
- Contribute to developing social media content.
- Participate in other Epilepsy Association of Western & Central PA team efforts, events, and projects.
Requirements
We are looking for a dynamic individual willing to bring energy and fresh ideas to our team:
- Interest working with families of children with special needs
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Self-starter who requires minimal direction to get the job done
- Enjoys both independent and teamwork environments
- MUST work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and flexible shifts
- Generally won’t work more than 40 hours in a week
- No on call work required
- MUST be mission driven
- Interested in spending time with children, families and working in community settings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
