Job Description
Title: Director of DevelopmentReporting to: Rector and Principal
Location: Epiphany Cathedral Parish | Venice, FL
Classification: Salaried/Exempt
Overview
The Epiphany Office of Development works to secure a greater base of support for the Epiphany Cathedral Parish and Epiphany Cathedral Catholic School. The Director of Development is responsible for the overall planning management and implementation of all fundraising for both the parish and the school.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and implement fundraising campaigns, which include prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for the school and the parish.
- Actively engage donors and build relationships with the community to grow the fundraising capacity.
- Maintain donor databases and update accordingly, update and expand the alumni database.
- Work closely with the Pastor and Principal to set and achieve goals and objectives.
- Educate and engage key volunteers (i.e. Parents Association) in implementing mission-based fundraising.
- Ensure all branding standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of building effective communication, enhancing relationships, and ensuring a high quality of customer service to achieve goals and objectives.
- Other duties assigned by the Pastor and Principal.
- Minimum bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational skills; ability to multitask.
- Ability to communicate cooperatively and effectively with staff, students, parents, donors & potential donations.
- Proficient with technology including Word, Excel, and Office.
- Undergoing a FDLE Level 2 background check.
