Virtus Health is a well established, privately owned leading provider of ABA therapy specializing in services for those affected by Autism (ASD) or other developmental delays and behavioral diagnoses.
The Director of Development position is responsible for leading company-wide client development efforts, community engagement, and intake activities for Virtus Health. Position is based out of our Corporate Offices in Sarasota, Florida reporting to the Vice President, Director of Organizational Services.
Primary Responsibilities :
Manage the development process and related activities from initial contact through start of services to achieve Virtus’ goals and objectives;
Manage the intake process and team to ensure quality and efficiency;
Create and build relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers,physicians, schools, associated service providers, and others to generate clients for Virtus;
Directly engage in the intake process through presenting Virtus’ services to parents to lead them to begin receiving services;
Provide intake coordination with all Virtus locations, ensuring clinical understanding of the clients referred to each center and communication with BCBAs and clinical staff;
Manage and refine intake processes and procedures;
Assist in developing strategies and related communication and marketing information to support and maximize development efforts;
Coordinate, manage, and attend community events, supports marketing and social media initiatives;
Meet or exceed Development departmental KPIs on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis;
Researches and stays abreast of various information for business development, including market research, demographics, ABA therapy information, etc.;
Coordinate development processes and communication with all Virtus departments and team members to provide continuity and quality throughout the organization;
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :
Minimum of 3-5 years of development and / or marketing leadership experience working in a healthcare industry and leading a development team. Prior ABA business development experience and BCBA certification preferred;
Excellent marketing capabilities including social media, web, print, events;
Excellent in-person, phone, and electronic media, verbal and written communication and presentational skills, including creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations;
Strong business acumen and project management skills;
Proficient electronic acumen and computer skills, including online platforms and Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Prior experience using Central Reach practice management software and AirTable preferred;
Able to build, direct, and manage a cohesive, collaborative and effective team;
Able to trouble-shoot and problem solve directly and through coordination with other Virtus departments and teams;
Excellent customer care and follow up skills; able to lead a small team to work with a wide range of external referral sources and collaborative organizations (schools, non-profits, healthcare networks / doctors offices, after school organizations) and directly with parents of clients to support initial contact through start of care;
