Group Indirect sourcing has a mission to optimize Total Value of Ownership (TVO) and to be the Indirect sourcing center of excellence within Epiroc.
Your mission
We are looking for an experienced Indirect Sourcing Category Manager with the mission to be the strategic value-adding business partner, and ambition to develop/build-up and maintain a key supplier base to improve sustainable sourcing, availability, risk mitigation and cost optimization.
Category Manager for the Warehousing & 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) shall cover integrated operations of warehousing globally, high focus on the Global Distribution Centers as well as the main Regionally Distribution Centers.
In this role you will be the global SPOC for indirect sourcing activities at our GDC´s (Global Distribution Centers) and RDC´s (Regional Distribution Centers). You will support the overall Epiroc sourcing strategy in the growth ambition to achieve a higher efficiency level. You will collaborate closely with Epiroc’s Global Warehousing team and develop an effective working relationship with Epiroc Supply Chain to ensure the successful implementation of the sourcing strategy and optimized Total Value of Ownership (TVO).
The main mission will also be to:
- Define a 3/4PL Category Strategy and present a long-term solution plan with a clear business case by the end of the project assignment period.
- Finalize roadmap to achieve “best in class” agreements with all 3 and 4PL suppliers.
- Define common SLA´s and KPI´s according to Supply Chain strategies.
- Set up a Supplier management concept with a clear governance for the 3PL and 4PL suppliers.
- Minimize Epiroc risks by implementation of the Sourcing Excellence processes, templates and tools.
Your profile
In this role you need an academic degree, relevant work experience in sourcing and experience in sourcing or procurement management. To succeed within this role, we believe you are self-motivated, a proven collaborator, open minded and passionate about building relations.
As a person, you are innovative and “dare to think new”. You are structured, results-oriented with extensive analytical skills. This position requires strong communication skills to work effectively via videoconferences with regional team members, work closely with local colleagues and to present performance results to upper management and major stakeholders.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken form.
Location
Location may be in some of our Distribution Centers or Product Companies and the focus will be to support Epiroc Global Distribution Centers in Europe, North America, South Africa, Central East Asia and Australia. The role will be responsible for supplier selection within 3PL as well as necessary consumables and services The daily work will be carried out in cooperation with the Epiroc Companies in the regions, with support within defined categories from the Global Category Team. Local terms and conditions will apply.
You must also be willing to travel internationally.
