Job Summary
The Locksmith assists in planning, scheduling, and supervising all new maintenance and repair work. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring that work is completed in a safe and timely manner and meets all codes and regulations, which apply. Directly supervises all electricians. The Locksmith install, removes, replaces, maintains, repairs, and adjusts all types of locking devices. Makes keys, picks locks, and changes keys. Sets up and changes key combinations, changes cylinders, repairs lock stiles, jambs, and hanging stiles. This position will support the main campus and off-site locations.

Responsibilities
- Provides engineering coordinator with appropriate advice regarding work to be done and materials needed. Inspects all fixtures and equipment on routine basis to determine if repairs are necessary or equipment needs to be replaced.
- Sketches plans, reads and interprets blueprints and manufacturers’ specifications.
- Prepares and delegates work assignments to all mechanics.
- Performs random checks on work sites to ensure that work being performed meets established building regulations and safety criteria and standards.
- Maintains up-to-date inventory of all parts & equipment in the supply room and mechanic shop. Prepares and routes requisitions for supplies, replacement parts, and equipment as needed.
- Ensures that supply room and mechanic shop are replenished as needed. Maintains the mechanic supply room in a clean, orderly condition.
- Prices all orders for equipment, materials, and tools through the supply houses and initiates delivery of this equipment and supplies with the supply house.
- Assists in the development, implementation and on-going review of a preventive maintenance program, schedules the areas of the facility to be inspected for repairs and replacement of equipment.

- Conducts departmental orientation with all new employees.
- Provides supervision and support for new employees during their introductory period.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5 years experience within past 10 years or 3 years experience with approved education or training
Salary : $40 - $40
