The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations within our skilled nursing and assisted living senior living facilities. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeping Manager will lead and manage the housekeeping team, develop and implement cleaning protocols, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Schedule and Rate:
Monday - Friday, day shift hours. approx. 8am -4:30pm
From $50,000 - $60,000/yr. depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
Cleaning Practices:
- Establish and maintain cleaning protocols in line with healthcare standards.
- Ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with cleaning standards.
Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for housekeeping staff.
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable about infection control and safety procedures.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Goal Setting and Performance:
- Set clear goals and objectives for the housekeeping department.
- Monitor and report on departmental performance.
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning practices and infection control procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong staff management experience.
- Ability to walk the floors regularly and conduct thorough audits.
